Oscar Isaacs is no stranger to big franchises as the actor is currently making his MCU debut, has appeared in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, and has been a major component of Disney star Wars trilogy sequel. “I hesitated a lot. A lot,” says Isaac. So I was excited to go back to more character studies and smaller films. Isaac never caught his tongue in his feelings for Disney’s practices. The actor has been a longtime fan of the idea of Finn and Beau Dameron’s friendship developing into a full-fledged relationship, and spoke during the press tour about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Isaac, in an interview with IGN, revealed his disdain for Disney and Lucasfilm’s decision not to include Finn and Beau’s love story.
“I think there could have been a very interesting love story – futuristic thinking – not even futuristic thinking, just, like present thinking – love story there, something that has yet to be explored; especially the dynamic between these two Men at War was from They could fall in love with each other,” Isaac told IGN. “I was going to try to push it a little bit in that direction, but the Disney emperors weren’t ready to do that.”
